A young man gave his life to Jesus. He had seen the truth in the scriptures. Believers who had witnessed and shared with him rejoiced with him and for a short time came to pray and study with him. After a few months, the believers' lives became filled with other things and their visits and times of teaching ceased. When the young man's family came to visit with him and he shared his new ideas, his family was quick to remind him of all that he had been taught as a child.
They told him these new teachings were false. Soon a battle raged within the young man. At night, he dreamed the devil was coming to get him because he had ceased to pray to the saints and Mary. He was afraid to sleep at night. One day an old black cat appeared in the neighborhood and the young man knew this was Satan coming to watch him and his fear increased. Luckily, for this young man, people were praying for him. As the believers noticed the fear in the young man, they began to realize they had neglected their responsibility to teach and mentor him. One among them began again to teach the young man.
