Official Invitation to Join Youth Center - Letter Nov. 29th

Greetings from Mekelle. Sorry to take a whole extra week to get back to you, but that is just about normal speed around here. Administration has given their approval for you to come and teach English at the Mekelle Youth Centre under the umbrella of SIM, starting on or about January 26, and ending up on or about February 19, 2003. It is understood that you will be praying your own way, including roundtrip airfare from Korea, travel expenses while in Ethiopia, as well as housing and food expenses while in the country. As far as travel in Ethiopia, if you would like I can make a reservation for you on Ethiopian Airlines, Addis-Mekelle Roundtrip, with a day or two on each end for sightseeing in Addis. Approximate cost is USD 150.00 Housing in Addis can be at the SIM Guesthouse for very reasonable rates (I will confirm them and pass on the info.). In Mekelle, hotel prices range between USD 25.00/night (nice hotel, satellite television in room, expensive restaurant), to 3.50 USD/night (clean room, hot shower in room, safe hotel, good location, very simple, no food) to 2.50 USD/night (Same hotel, hot shower down the hall). All of this may change and go out the window if I can get a house rented between now and then, but better to work on the worst case scenario while making plans. As far as teaching schedule and class levels let me know what you are looking for. We do not want to wear you out on your "vacation", so give me an idea of what would work for you. As far as seeing XXXX, she lives two gates down from the Youth Centre, so you can see as much or as little of her as you like. Hope this info helps and is encouraging.
